- Reverend Misty Barrett ’89 was elected a Clergy Reserve Delegate at the May 2025 Alabama Emerald Coast Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church.
- Bill Borg ’74 retired in May 2025 from education, spending the last almost two decades as Head of School for Vanguard College Preparatory Academy in Waco, TX.
- Abby Cody ’22 started a new job in April 2025 at Jenner and block. She also ran the Chicago Marathon in October raising $2,000 for Paws Chicago. In April 2025, she and Samantha Blount ’20 ran the Derby Marathon in Louisville, Kentucky.
- Assistant Coach Danny Coleman ’20 helped lead Tuscaloosa County High School to the Alabama 7A Baseball State Championship in May.
- Colleen McRae Edwards ’94 has started a position as an Education Specialist with the Alabama State Department of Education’s Office of School Improvement.
- Melinda Caprara Hinds ’87 was promoted to District Recruitment Manager for the South Alabama District with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers.
- Casey Maugh Funderburk ’00 was awarded the Faculty Service Award at the College of Business and Economic Development’s Golden Quills Ceremony at The University of Southern Mississippi.
- Brynn McGlamery ’22 was approved for candidacy in the United Methodist Church in May 2025.
- Cal George ’25 accepted a position as a history teacher, head boys and girls soccer coach, and an assistant football coach for Ardmore High School.
- Reverend Allen Newton ’83 was elected as a Clergy Delegate at the May 2025 Alabama Emerald Coast Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church.
- Katy Pass ’22 was approved for candidacy in the United Methodist Church in May 2025.
- Raegan Pickens ’25 accepted a position as a third-grade teacher and varsity assistant cheer coach at Pike Road School.
- Sarah Powell Roberts ’19 was approved for candidacy in the United Methodist Church in May 2025.
- Bria Rochelle Stephens ’18 was approved for candidacy in the United Methodist Church in May 2025.
- Victor Wyatt ’09 was ordained an Elder in the Primitive Baptist Church of the National Primitive Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. in March of 2025. He has served as a licensed minister since 2006.

- Lillie Jane Brackin Adkinson ’58 passed away on May 10, 2025, in Dothan, Alabama.
- Jane Michael Boozer ’56 passed away on May 22, 2025, in Decatur, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Asa Boozer ’56. In 1990, Jane and Asa established the Michael / Boozer Endowed Scholarship at Huntingdon.
- Barbara Waters Dekle ’71 passed away on March 1, 2025, in Montgomery, Alabama.
- Emmie Sue Brooks Ellisor ’57 passed away on May 20, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
- Robert Emory Gillespie, Jr. ’91 died on May 5, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama.
- Lennie Tutwiler Lankford ’60 died on January 22, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama.
- Charlene Rentz Meadows ’64, died on May 8, 2025. Her husband, Don Edward Meadows ’63 died on May 18, 2025. Both were in Livingston, Alabama. Don was a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame and the first mascot. We extend our condolences to their family including their sons, Andy Meadows ’90 and Tim Meadows ’91. They were preceded in death by Charlene’s sisters, Inell Rentz McGee ’63 and Sherry Rentz Hill ’71, and their brother-in-law, Herb McGee ’62.
- Edward H. Munson, Jr. ’71 died on March 10, 2025, in Montgomery, Alabama.
- Gail Golson Phillips ’55 died on May 1, 2025, in Fairhope, Alabama. She was the former Huntingdon College Alumni Director. We extend condolences to her family including her daughter, Carla Golson St. Peter ’92.
- Joann Brantley Mastin Ruffin ’66 died on May 4, 2025, in Baldwin County, Alabama.
- Rebecca Bibb Segrest ’64 passed away on May 6, 2025, in Shorter Alabama. She was part of five generations of Huntingdon alumnae. We extend condolences to her husband, Wade; her daughter, Rebecca Segrest Hollingsworth ’88; her granddaughter, Hannah Hollingsworth ’25; her brother-in-law Dale Segrest ’64; and her sister-in-law Betty Segrest ’64. She was preceded in death by her mother, Steele Lightfoot Bibb ’30, and her great aunt, Julia Lightfoot Sellers ’07.
- Sara Truett Woodham ’52 died on March 16, 2025, in Dothan, Alabama.
